Hi! My name is Amanda Chasten and I am a food photographer & recipe developer, currently working in Monterey, California. I create clean and simple food photography and original recipes for national brands, small to medium food businesses, and local restaurants to be used anywhere from magazines to websites to social media and menus.

I have always had a passion for food and art, so much so that I went to college just to study food! My degree in Food Science from the University of Delaware gives me a strong background that aids in recipe development and the overall understanding of food and culture. I uniquely combine my scientific and cultural knowledge of food with my artistic talents to create beautiful, eye-catching food imagery.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and camping with my dog, taking in the sites and scents of the redwood trees and California beaches. I also love to travel - of course my favorite part about that is experiencing the unique dishes of different cultures.
